His work includes acquiring, planning, and developing water supplies as well as guiding clients through the purchase and development of real property.
Christopher earned a B.A. in Technical Writing from Colorado State University in 1995 and a J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School in 2000. His studies and legal writing experience support a practice that frequently involves technical water rights questions, contracts, property records, and government procedures affecting development.
Christopher joined Balcomb & Green in 2000 and became a partner in 2006. He serves as general counsel to the largest municipal water supplier on Colorado’s western slope. His practice involves helping public and private clients address water supply rights and property development needs. The work connects legal entitlements to the practical requirements of residential projects, municipal operations, irrigation, and other uses of water and land.
Christopher L. Geiger is a member of the Colorado Water Congress and Colorado Supreme Court Water Committee. He previously chaired the Executive Council of the Colorado Bar Association’s Water Law Section and served as vice president of the Colorado Bar Association and president of the Ninth Judicial District Bar Association. His professional service complements years of advising clients on water and property matters, combining regional knowledge with legal work for public agencies and private water users.
