Christopher J. Ema is a shareholder and Director of the Real Property Practice Group at MacLean and Ema, P.A. With over four decades of experience, he represents clients in residential and commercial real estate transactions, including purchase and sale agreements, leasing, loan documentation, and mortgage closings. Mr. Ema is also an agent for Old Republic National Title Insurance Company through Attorney’s Title Fund Services, LLC.

Mr. Ema earned his B.A., cum laude, from Duke University and his J.D. from the University of Florida College of Law. While in law school, he served as editor and advisor to the Appellate Advocacy Board and was a member of Phi Delta Phi. Admitted to the Florida Bar in 1982, he is also admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court and maintains an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest peer-reviewed distinction in the legal field.

In addition to real estate, Mr. Ema’s practice includes business law, where he assists clients in forming corporations, partnerships, and LLCs, as well as buying and selling businesses. His broad experience in both real estate and business transactions allows him to provide comprehensive legal strategies that align with his clients’ long-term goals and financial interests.

Christopher J. Ema is active in several professional and community organizations, including the Florida Bar’s Real Property, Probate, and Trust Law Section, the Broward County Bar Association, and the Attorneys’ Real Estate Council of Broward County, where he previously served as President. A resident of Lighthouse Point, he remains deeply involved in civic life, having led local chambers, festivals, and service clubs across South Florida.
