About

Christopher J. Walker is a Juneau estate planning attorney and shareholder at Faulkner Banfield, P.C. He helps individuals and families prepare wills, trusts, and community property plans, and also assists with probate and trust administration. His practice includes long-term care planning and Medicaid advice. Beyond estate matters, he handles business formation, transactions, real property agreements, and leasing. His services address both future planning and legal questions arising from changing family or business needs.

Chris earned a B.A. in Political Science and History from Gonzaga University in 2002 and a J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law in 2008. He was admitted to the Alaska state courts that year and has practiced law in Juneau since 2008. His undergraduate study and legal training support work involving property ownership, legal documents, the transfer of assets, and the administration of estates.

Chris advises clients on choosing estate planning documents suited to their circumstances and on carrying out responsibilities after a death. His work with trusts and probate requires attention to ownership, beneficiary interests, and administration procedures. He also assists clients with entity formation, business advice, and real property transactions. This combination of practice areas can be useful where a family’s estate planning goals are connected to a business or real property holdings.

Christopher J. Walker is a member of the executive committee of the Alaska Bar Association’s Estate Planning Section. He has spoken about Alaska’s Elective Community Property Act at an estate law symposium and before the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. He also presents to community organizations across Southeast Alaska on estate planning and planned giving. His professional work includes client representation and education on important planning choices.
