Christine M. Hernández is a distinguished immigration attorney and shareholder at Hernandez & Associates, P.C. in Denver, Colorado. She has extensive experience in immigration and nationality law, including removal defense, appellate advocacy, asylum, U Visas, and adjustment of status.

She has represented clients before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the Executive Office for Immigration Review, the Board of Immigration Appeals, the U.S. Supreme Court, and federal courts of appeals. Ms. Hernández also provides criminal defense representation in Colorado’s state and federal courts.

Ms. Hernández earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2005. She graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from American University, majoring in International Business. During her education, she gained practical legal experience through clerkships at the Denver Immigration Court and the Supremo Tribunal de Justicia in Guanajuato, Mexico.

Licensed to practice law in Colorado since 2005, Ms. Hernández is also admitted to the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Ninth and Tenth Circuits, and the U.S. Supreme Court. She is an active member of professional organizations such as the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), where she has held multiple leadership roles, including Chair of the Practice Management Committee and Vice-Chair of the Removal Issues Committee. She also chairs the Immigration Section of the Hispanic National Bar Association.

Ms. Hernández is committed to advancing diversity and justice. She co-chairs the Racial Justice Taskforce for the Colorado Lawyers Committee and is a member of the Colorado Supreme Court’s Wellness Task Force. She also mentors young attorneys through the Access to Justice Campaign and the Rocky Mountain Immigrant Advocacy Network.

Recognized for her excellence, Ms. Hernández has received numerous awards, including selection to Colorado Super Lawyers and recognition as a “Top Latino Lawyer” by Latino Leaders Magazine. Her dedication to helping individuals and families through complex immigration and legal challenges demonstrates her passion for justice and her clients’ rights.
