About
Christian Carpeneti is an environmental and land use lawyer and Of Counsel at Holland & Hart in Anchorage and advises clients on land development, regulatory, contractual, and litigation matters. Christian helps clients address real property, right-of-way agreements, management agreements, permitting, infrastructure development, and compliance with local, state, and federal requirements. His background in Alaska land management gives him practical insight into how public land systems and agency processes affect projects.
Christian earned a J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law and a B.S. from Eastern Oregon University, graduating summa cum laude. His legal education supports a practice that combines transactional analysis, public land regulation, permitting, and litigation. That training, together with years in government service, helps him evaluate legal questions from both a regulatory and courtroom perspective.
Christian previously held key land management positions with the Alaska Department of Natural Resources and spent eight years as an Assistant District Attorney. He now represents clients before courts and administrative bodies at the state, local, and federal levels. His work includes leasing, easements, right-of-way agreements, multi-agency permitting, infrastructure development, and compliance issues tied to land use and project development.
Christian Carpeneti was named to Alaska Business Legal Elite in 2025. Christian’s practice is supported by direct government experience, extensive litigation work, and current environmental and development counseling. He helps clients understand agency expectations, structure land-related agreements, address permitting concerns, and prepare for disputes when projects or regulatory decisions become contested, bringing a practical Alaska-focused perspective to each matter.
