Chris Stokes

Chris Stokes is a partner at Rafi Law Firm in Atlanta who represents clients in serious personal injury and wrongful death matters. His practice focuses on catastrophic injuries and deaths caused by car accidents, tractor-trailer crashes, negligent security, and dangerous property conditions. Chris earned an undergraduate degree in Accounting from Auburn University and attended the University of Georgia School of Law. At UGA Law, he participated in mock trial and moot court and worked through the Appellate Advocacy Clinic on real matters before the US Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the Board of Immigration Appeals. His advocacy work earned him membership in the National Order of Barristers, recognizing strong performance in trial advocacy.

Chris began his post-law-school career at an insurance defense firm in metro Atlanta, where he represented businesses and insurance companies in personal injury cases involving automobile crashes, dangerous property claims, and insurance coverage disputes. That work gave him direct insight into how insurers evaluate claims, develop defenses, and identify weaknesses. He later moved to plaintiff-side representation, applying that defense experience when preparing injury claims, assessing evidence, and anticipating arguments from insurance carriers.

Chris Stokes continues to support trial-advocacy education as a guest judge and coach for the UGA mock trial program. His practice combines accounting training, appellate-clinic experience, insurance defense work, and plaintiff-side injury litigation. He uses that background to analyze damages, prepare complex cases, and respond to defense strategies in high-stakes claims.
