About
Chris Frost is a partner at Thomas, Coon, Newton & Frost in Portland and has represented injured workers in Oregon workers’ compensation claims at the firm since 2008. Her practice focuses on denied claims, time-loss disputes, medical services disputes, vocational services disputes, permanent disability awards, and settlement. She previously served as a staff attorney at the Workers’ Compensation Board, giving her direct experience with the administrative system that governs contested benefits and work-injury claims in Oregon.
Chris graduated from the University of Kansas and later earned a J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law. Her education, administrative-agency background, and years of private practice support a concentrated workers’ compensation practice representing injured workers in a highly regulated claims system. That work requires close attention to medical evidence, benefit rules, vocational issues, permanent disability questions, settlement strategy, and procedural requirements throughout contested Oregon workers’ compensation matters.
Chris has served as co-chair of the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association Workers’ Compensation policy group and as chair and executive committee member of the Oregon State Bar Workers’ Compensation Section. Her work combines individual representation with professional involvement aimed at improving the legal framework affecting injured workers. She handles disputes over claim acceptance, wage-replacement benefits, medical treatment, vocational services, permanent disability, and settlement while drawing on prior experience inside the Workers’ Compensation Board.
Chris Frost received the 2014 Doug Swanson Outstanding Workers’ Compensation Attorney Award from the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association. Her practice is centered on representing injured workers through Oregon’s workers’ compensation system, including denied claims, time-loss disputes, medical and vocational services disputes, permanent disability awards, and settlement. Her combination of Workers’ Compensation Board experience, claimant representation, and professional leadership gives injured workers focused advocacy in complex benefit disputes.
