Chris Benjamin

Chris Benjamin is a trial attorney whose practice focuses on personal injury, wrongful death, criminal defense, DUI and DWI defense, traffic violations, license suspension matters, and orders of protection. With more than 20 years of legal experience, he has handled more than 200 trials and recovered millions of dollars for injury victims while representing individuals facing criminal and traffic-related charges. He works closely with clients to explain their legal options and develop strategies tailored to their circumstances.

Chris earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry before receiving his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri–Columbia School of Law in 2002. During law school, he served as Vice President of the Missouri Students Association, where he developed leadership experience that later influenced his legal career and public service.

Chris has built a career combining courtroom advocacy with public service. He has argued cases before the Supreme Court of Missouri and the Missouri Courts of Appeals for the Western and Southern Districts. He previously served as Municipal Judge for Garden City, Missouri, Chief of Staff to the Speaker of the Missouri House of Representatives, and General Counsel to the Majority Floor Leader. Since 2019, he has been recognized annually as a Missouri and Kansas Super Lawyer and currently serves as President of the Metropolitan Community College Board of Trustees for the Kansas City region.
