About
Ched Jennings is the founder of Jennings Law Offices and has devoted his legal practice primarily to workers’ compensation litigation. He represents injured workers in Kentucky on claims for work-related injuries, workers’ compensation benefits, denied claims, and temporary or permanent disability. His official profile also states that he represents clients in Social Security Disability and Personal Injury matters. His current work is therefore centered on injured and disabled claimants rather than employment-law defense or counseling.
Ched earned his law degree from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law in 1975. His legal education preceded a career involving administrative law, workers’ compensation litigation, and public policy. He was admitted to legal practice in 1976. In 2000, the University of Louisville honored him as a Distinguished Law Alumnus, recognizing a career closely associated with Kentucky workers’ compensation law.
Ched began his legal career in 1976 as legal counsel to the Workers’ Compensation Board and entered private practice in 1979. He served on the Governor’s Workers’ Compensation Task Force in 1986-87, later served as Commissioner of the Department of Workers’ Claims in 2000-2001, and participated on the 2016 Workers Compensation Task Force. He also founded CompEd, Inc. and the Kentucky Worker’s Association and speaks on workers’ compensation issues.
Ched Jennings continues to represent injured workers through his legal practice and hosts the Kentucky Workers Compensation Podcast. His career includes agency service, private claimant representation, policy work, education, and advocacy involving Kentucky’s workers’ compensation system. His primary practice remains Workers’ Compensation, with Social Security Disability and Personal Injury forming additional areas of representation.
