Chavelys Y. Alers is an experienced attorney known for her strong advocacy and detailed approach to criminal defense and family law cases. As a former prosecutor, she gained extensive trial experience that now helps her protect the rights of clients facing charges ranging from misdemeanors to serious felonies. Her background gives her a strategic advantage when analyzing evidence, identifying weaknesses in state cases, and developing defense plans tailored to each client’s situation.

Alers completed her J.D. at Florida Coastal School of Law. She also earned a B.B.A. from the University of Miami and an A.A. in Music Business & Entertainment Industries. Her academic foundation, combined with early professional experience, prepared her to navigate complex legal matters with accuracy and confidence.

Before starting her own practice, Alers served as a prosecutor in Lake County, where she handled numerous bench and jury trials. She later worked in civil litigation, gaining experience in insurance defense for a major retail corporation. Her career includes prosecuting cases involving aggravated battery, aggravated assault, domestic violence, kidnapping, and stalking. Today, she represents clients in criminal defense matters involving drug offenses, DUI, violent crimes, sex crimes, theft, and other serious charges. She also oversees the family law side of the practice, guiding clients through custody, support, and related issues with care and clarity.
