He completed his undergraduate studies at The Johns Hopkins University, earning a B.A. with honors in Economics in 1998. His academic training provided a strong foundation in legal reasoning, analytical thinking, and economic principles that continue to inform his legal practice.

Mr. Sung began his legal career in 2001 with DLA Piper in Washington, D.C., where he worked in the commercial litigation group. In this role, he represented nationwide franchise and automobile companies in complex commercial litigation matters. He also represented major pharmaceutical companies in internal investigations and defended matters involving government enforcement and regulatory oversight.

Mr. Sung joined Gilbert Randolph, LLP, where he focused on insurance recovery litigation in 2007. He represented bankruptcy trusts in coverage disputes against insurance companies and played a key role in a landmark class action involving title insurance overcharges. Through this work, he helped clients recover funds owed to them, promote fair industry practices, and ensure accountability.
