Charles R. Peifer is a shareholder and trial lawyer at Peifer, Hanson, Mullins & Baker, P.A., who handles commercial litigation, class actions, First Amendment matters, and general civil lawsuits and disputes. Charles earned his B.A. with honors from The Johns Hopkins University in 1982. He received his J.D. magna cum laude from Cornell Law School in 1985. Charles entered New Mexico practice in 1985 and later served as Chief Assistant Attorney General from 1989 to 1990. He supervised 30 lawyers across four civil divisions and represented executive agencies and judiciary members before the New Mexico Supreme Court. He previously defended medical malpractice, product liability, employment, and general tort claims in private practice. He is admitted before federal district courts in New Mexico and Arizona, the Ninth and Tenth Circuits, and the US Supreme Court.
