Charles N. Ogan

Charles N. Ogan is an accomplished attorney with extensive experience in criminal prosecution and family law. Before entering private practice, he served as an Assistant State’s Attorney in both DuPage and Macon Counties, where he handled hundreds of cases, including complex felony jury trials. His work focused heavily on child abuse and neglect matters, giving him deep insight into sensitive legal issues affecting families.

Mr. Ogan earned his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law, where he wrote for the Journal of Arts and Entertainment Law. He completed his B.A. in History and German at Illinois Wesleyan University and studied abroad at Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg in Germany. This strong academic background supports his careful approach to legal analysis and client advocacy.

During his seventeen years as a prosecutor, Mr. Ogan worked closely with child protection agencies on cases involving extreme physical abuse, shaken babies, and Munchausen by Proxy. His courtroom experience shaped his commitment to protecting vulnerable individuals. In private practice, he applies that same dedication to family law, guiding clients through divorce, custody, visitation, support disputes, and high-tension removal hearings.
