Chandler C. Blair

Chandler C. Blair is a New Mexico criminal defense attorney with extensive public defender and courtroom experience. Before entering private practice, he spent many years with the New Mexico Public Defender, eventually serving as Deputy Chief Public Defender. He has defended clients against a wide range of criminal allegations, including cases involving serious felonies. His practice focuses on protecting constitutional rights, examining the State’s evidence, and preparing clients for negotiations, hearings, and trial in New Mexico courts.

Blair earned a J.D. from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 2003. Before law school, he worked in the credit department at Wells Fargo, gaining business experience before choosing a legal career focused on public service and criminal defense. He is admitted to practice in New Mexico, Texas, and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico. Blair joined the New Mexico Public Defender in 2005 and, apart from a brief period in private practice, rose from an entry-level attorney to Deputy Chief Public Defender.
