Chad A. Snyder is an attorney at Rubric Legal LLC with more than 25 years of legal experience. His practice focuses on intellectual property law, copyright and trademark litigation, insurance coverage and litigation, business litigation, and trade secret matters. Snyder earned a J.D. with Highest Distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law. He also earned an M.Div. from United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities and a Bachelor’s Degree, cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire. His academic background in law, theology, and the liberal arts supports his work in litigation, intellectual property, insurance disputes, business matters, and client advocacy.

Snyder has volunteered for about 25 years as an attorney for children through the Children’s Law Center of Minnesota, representing children in child protection matters. His practice includes presenting client stories to judges, opposing counsel, mediators, and juries while protecting contractual, property, and intellectual property rights. He is admitted in Minnesota and Wisconsin, several federal district courts, and the US Courts of Appeals for the Eighth and Second Circuits.

Chad A. Snyder combines litigation experience with business counseling and dispute-resolution work. His background as a professional journalist shaped an approach centered on asking questions, listening closely, and presenting client stories effectively. He has spoken on litigation practice, professional civility, ethics, reputation, and attorney well-being. His work includes business disputes, insurance litigation, intellectual property conflicts, trade secrets, contract matters, and legal strategies designed to resolve disputes inside or outside the courtroom. He serves clients across Minnesota, Iowa, and western Wisconsin through the firm’s Minneapolis-based practice.
