Catherine C. Miller, Esq., is a highly regarded attorney and the founder of MillerAsen, P.A., a prominent law firm in Maine specializing in family law and estate planning. With over 25 years of legal experience, including more than 20 years exclusively dedicated to family law, Catherine is committed to delivering exceptional representation and personalized service to her clients.

A graduate of Le Moyne College (B.A.) and the University of Maine School of Law (J.D.), Catherine is admitted to practice law in Maine. Her expertise spans complex financial estates, child custody matters, mediation, and conflict resolution. She is a Certified Mediator, trained in Collaborative Law, and a rostered Guardian ad Litem.

Catherine began her legal career as a partner at Givertz, Hambley, Scheffee & Lavoie, P.A., before going on to found Miller Law & Mediation. In 2022, her practice merged with MittelAsen, LLC to create MillerAsen, P.A., a firm dedicated to comprehensive family law and estate planning services. This strategic merger united a team of experienced attorneys committed to delivering compassionate, client-focused representation tailored to the diverse legal needs of individuals and families.

Catherine is deeply committed to advancing the legal profession and family law in Maine. She has served on numerous legal boards, including the Maine State Bar Association Family Law Section, where she held leadership roles, and the Kids First Center Board of Directors. She also served on the Maine Board of Bar Overseers Grievance Commission and the Maine Guardian Ad Litem Review Board.

Currently, Catherine is a member of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court’s Family Law Advisory Committee, where she advises on legislative matters pertaining to family law. As an adjunct professor at the University of Maine School of Law, she shares her extensive knowledge with future legal professionals.
