Carmen Di Amore-Siah is the founder of the Law Office of Carmen Di Amore-Siah and Associates in Honolulu, Hawaii, where she provides skilled legal representation in immigration, family law, and estate planning. With more than 30 years of experience, she is known for her deep legal knowledge, dedication to clients, and commitment to cross-cultural understanding in complex legal matters.
Carmen earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Hawaii’s William S. Richardson School of Law in 1989, following a Master’s in Social Work (1982) and a Master’s in Public Health (1983). She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology in 1979. Her interdisciplinary education, combined with her extensive field experience, equips her to address legal issues with both precision and empathy.
Carmen is admitted to practice before the Hawaii State Bar, Hawaii Supreme Court, U.S. District Court for Hawaii, Guam Bar Association, and the Ninth, Fourth, and Second Circuit Courts of Appeal. She has published scholarly work on indigenous self-determination and has served as a faculty member for the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) Annual Conference.
Carmen’s professional background includes serving as Honorary Vice Consul of Italy for Hawaii from 1994 to 2008 and Honorary Vice Consul Emeritus since 2008. She has held leadership roles in the Hawaii Immigration Lawyer Association and is a long-standing member of the Association of European Lawyers.
Before practicing law, Carmen Di Amore-Siah worked extensively in refugee and public health services, including with the UNHCR in Thailand and the Child & Family Services refugee assistance program in Honolulu. Today, she leverages this global perspective to guide clients through immigration petitions, family law disputes, and estate planning with skill, cultural sensitivity, and unwavering advocacy.
