About
Carina Wilmot is a partner in Crowley Fleck’s Missoula office, where she focuses on Business Organizations, Labor & Employment, Real Estate, and Trusts & Estates. The practice includes estate planning and trust planning and administration, corporate governance, employment matters, real estate transactions, alcoholic beverage licensing, and mediation. Wilmot works on matters that require careful review of the facts, governing law, and the client’s practical objectives. The work stays closely connected to the decisions, risks, transactions, or disputes that brought the client to counsel.
Wilmot earned a J.D. with High Honors from the University of Montana School of Law in 2014, an M.A. in Intercultural Communication from the University of New Mexico in 1997, and a B.S. in Social Sciences through the University of Wyoming Honors Program in 1995. Her communication training complements legal work involving employers, businesses, families, and negotiated resolutions. The training supports careful review of rules, records, documents, and options within the lawyer’s current practice.
Wilmot has experience with prior human-resources work and international communication training, followed by legal practice serving businesses, employers, property owners, and families. She also drafted and advocated for Montana legislation addressing temporary insurance coverage following transfers by transfer-on-death deed. This experience supports organized matter development and preparation for negotiation, transactions, administrative proceedings, trial, or appeal when required.
Carina Wilmot has been recognized by Best Lawyers as One to Watch in Real Estate Law since 2022. She has served on professional and nonprofit boards and regularly presents on employment, estate, and licensing topics. The combination of education, prior roles, and current practice supports careful legal judgment and disciplined client service. The practice remains focused on the areas reflected in the lawyer’s current professional profile and clear guidance through the legal process.
