Canaan J. Catlett

Canaan J. Catlett is an associate in Dykema’s Milwaukee office whose practice focuses on business and finance matters. Catlett works on transactional issues affecting businesses and brings experience with commercial operations and vendor management. His background includes in-house work with GE HealthCare’s global sourcing team while he was a law student, giving him practical exposure to the way legal terms, vendor relationships, and operational priorities interact inside a large organization.

Catlett earned a J.D. from Marquette University Law School and a B.S., magna cum laude, from Austin Peay State University. His legal education prepared him for contract analysis, transactional drafting, business research, and the organization of complex corporate matters. During law school, his in-house experience added a commercial perspective to that training by showing how legal decisions are implemented through sourcing, contracting, vendor management, and day-to-day business operations.

Catlett’s corporate and finance practice is supported by prior experience working with commercial operations and vendor relationships as well as his time as a Dykema summer associate. He assists with business matters that require careful review of agreements, transaction documents, and corporate requirements.
