Cameron Bedard

Cameron Bedard is the founder of The Aurora Criminal Defense Law Firm, where his practice focuses on criminal defense, police misconduct, and civil rights law violations. A former Colorado State Public Defender, he has handled thousands of misdemeanor and felony matters involving DUI, theft, domestic violence, drug trafficking, sex offenses, aggravated robbery, violent crimes, attempted murder, and homicide. He also represents clients in civil rights cases involving police abuse and misconduct.

Cameron graduated from the University of Colorado in 2018 after completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Rhode Island, where he majored in Political Science and minored in Philosophy. During law school, he received multiple scholarships, including the Barash Scholarship in 2017. He also participated in the Criminal Defense Clinic and Crimmigration Clinic and interned with the Colorado State Public Defender in Weld and Jefferson County offices.

Cameron has taken more than 40 cases to trial and has secured acquittals, midtrial dismissals, favorable suppression rulings, appellate reversals, and civil rights verdicts. His civil rights work has included excessive force, unconstitutional search, false arrest, prisoner abuse, and free speech claims. He has also helped clients obtain compassionate release, challenged unlawful sentences, and litigated constitutional issues in both criminal and civil matters in Colorado state and federal courts successfully.

Cameron Bedard is admitted to practice in Colorado and before the US District Court for the District of Colorado. His approach combines trial preparation, constitutional litigation, investigation, persuasive writing, and direct client advocacy. He has represented people facing serious criminal accusations and individuals seeking accountability for police misconduct.
