Caleb D. Erbert

Caleb D. Erbert is an associate attorney at Foley & Lardner LLP, where he is part of the firm’s Transactions Practice in the Detroit office. His practice focuses on general corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, and joint ventures for clients in the manufacturing and related industries.

Caleb earned his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Michigan State University College of Law in 2018. He contributed to the Michigan State Law Review and the Journal of Business and Securities Law during law school. He also served as a student clinician in the MSU Housing Law Clinic, developing practical experience in client advocacy and legal problem-solving.

Before attending law school, Caleb completed a Bachelor of Accountancy from Walsh College of Accountancy and Business Administration. This foundation in finance complements his legal practice, especially in transactions requiring detailed financial insight and risk assessment.

Prior to joining Foley, Caleb practiced corporate and M&A law at another Detroit-based firm. He also worked in the advisory services industry, performing field examinations of loan collateral and advising clients on business and financial operations.
