Caitlin L.D. Hull

Caitlin L.D. Hull is a partner at Dorsey & Whitney LLP in Minneapolis and a member of the firm’s Government Solutions and Investigations Group. Her practice focuses on corporate investigations, government investigations and enforcement actions, white-collar criminal defense matters, fraud and securities litigation, and complex commercial disputes. She advises individual and corporate clients through investigations, subpoenas, regulatory inquiries, litigation, arbitration, and compliance-related matters involving significant business and legal risk.

Caitlin earned her Juris Doctorate, magna cum laude, from the University of St. Thomas School of Law and a B.S., summa cum laude, from North Dakota State University in public relations and advertising with political science. She served as managing editor of the University of St. Thomas Law Journal. Her academic background supports legal writing, investigation planning, factual analysis, and strategic communication in complex disputes.

Caitlin conducts investigations involving FCPA issues, False Claims Act matters, securities fraud, embezzlement, insider trading, workplace misconduct, and other allegations. She has experience responding to grand jury subpoenas and civil investigative demands and representing clients before FINRA. Her litigation practice includes white-collar, securities, fraud, RICO, and trade-secret issues. She also routinely represents criminal defendants and appellants in federal court through an active pro bono practice.

Caitlin L.D. Hull combines government-investigation, white-collar, commercial-litigation, and federal criminal-defense experience. She co-leads Dorsey’s Minneapolis office and the Minnesota Chapter of the Women’s White Collar Defense Association. Her practice helps clients assess allegations, preserve and analyze evidence, respond to government scrutiny, conduct internal investigations, and develop litigation or compliance strategies when legal risk, business operations, and potential enforcement consequences intersect.
