Nicholas Juliano

Nicholas Juliano is a criminal defense attorney with Hoglund Law whose career in criminal law began in law enforcement. After completing graduate study in criminal justice, he moved from law enforcement toward legal advocacy and built a practice focused on criminal matters. He has worked in criminal defense and general practice settings and now represents clients as part of Hoglund Law’s criminal defense team. His background gives him familiarity with investigative procedures, prosecution offices, and defense strategy.

Nicholas earned both a B.A. and an M.S. from St. Cloud State University and later received his J.D. from Mitchell Hamline School of Law. During law school, he gained practical experience in criminal law settings, supplementing classroom work with direct exposure to prosecution and defense matters. He is admitted to the Minnesota State Bar. His education in criminal justice and law supports a practice requiring close review of police conduct, charging decisions, evidence, procedure, and potential consequences for clients.

Nicholas worked as a summer intern at the criminal defense firm of Brockton D. Hunter, P.A. and served as a student attorney with the Minneapolis City Attorney’s Office, Brooklyn Park City Attorney’s Office, and Ramsey County Attorney’s Office. After law school, he spent three years in general practice, including criminal defense work. These varied roles helped him understand how cases are investigated, charged, negotiated, and defended from several institutional perspectives.

Nicholas Juliano brings a practical criminal justice background to his representation of people facing criminal charges. His prior law enforcement experience, work in prosecution offices, and defense experience allow him to evaluate cases with attention to procedure and strategy.
