About

Burton LeBlanc is a shareholder and attorney at Baron & Budd whose practice concentrates on pharmaceutical litigation, environmental law, securities matters, asbestos litigation, and other cases involving alleged corporate wrongdoing. He represents individuals and governmental entities in complex disputes that can involve public health, consumer protection, environmental damage, and large-scale claims. His work often requires coordinating litigation strategy across numerous parties, jurisdictions, and factual records.

LeBlanc earned his J.D. from Loyola University School of Law in 1990 and a B.A. from Louisiana State University in 1987. His legal education provided the foundation for a litigation career involving mass claims, regulated industries, scientific and medical evidence, and complex damages. Over time, he has applied that training to matters involving pharmaceutical products, toxic exposures, securities issues, environmental losses, and consumer-related claims brought by individuals and public entities.

LeBlanc has participated in significant pharmaceutical and public-entity litigation, including matters involving Avandia, Fresenius products, and opioid claims. He has represented states and other governmental bodies in consumer fraud and related litigation and has worked on cases requiring large-scale settlement negotiations. His practice also covers asbestos and environmental claims, where factual development, expert analysis, corporate records, and coordinated litigation management can be central to the case.

Burton LeBlanc is a past president of the American Association for Justice and the Louisiana Association for Justice and has held leadership roles in the plaintiffs’ bar. His practice combines experience in complex litigation with organizational leadership in matters affecting large groups of claimants and public entities. LeBlanc helps clients pursue claims involving alleged corporate misconduct, environmental harm, dangerous products, and other substantial civil losses.
