Burke D. Robinson brings over 15 years of focused legal experience to clients across the construction industry. He represents commercial contractors, suppliers, developers, property managers, and real estate professionals in a wide range of construction-related disputes and transactions. His practice includes litigation, bid protests, union issues, and contract development.
Burke earned his B.S. in Finance and Economics, cum laude, from the University of Missouri at Columbia in 2000. He continued his education at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, completing both his M.B.A. and J.D. in 2003. This combination of legal and business training gives him a unique edge in construction and commercial litigation.
Burke has litigated multimillion-dollar disputes in both state and federal courts and has handled high-stakes arbitration cases involving 10 to 20 parties. He regularly prosecutes and forecloses mechanics’ liens and has served as local counsel in Missouri and Kansas for National Lien and Bond since 2009. His courtroom experience gives him insight into drafting solid contracts for contractors and suppliers.
Burke supports developers by managing full-scale commercial projects from start to finish. This includes drafting and enforcing construction and design contracts, preparing pay applications, tracking lien waivers, and monitoring construction progress. He also offers alternative fee models and helps clients avoid excessive legal costs with streamlined litigation support.
Burke is recognized for his legal excellence, earning the Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent rating and inclusion in Best Lawyers for 2024 and 2025. He is active in industry groups such as the American Bar Association Forum on the Construction Industry, Associated Builders and Contractors, and the Order of Equitas.
