About
Bryn R. Pallesen is counsel in Ballard Spahr’s Anchorage office and an experienced litigator who handles civil and class action matters in federal and state courts. Her practice includes commercial litigation and dispute resolution, antitrust and competition matters, and government investigations. She represents clients in complex disputes that can involve extensive factual records, regulatory questions, competitive conduct, and significant business risks at the trial and pretrial stages.
Pallesen earned a J.D. cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School in 2011, where she served as an Articles Editor of the Michigan Law Review. She earned a B.A. with distinction from Amherst College in 2007. She later clerked for the Honorable Sara Darrow of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois and the Honorable Timothy M. Burgess of the U.S. District Court for the District of Alaska.
Pallesen’s antitrust experience includes defending monopolization and restraint-of-trade claims, responding to U.S. Department of Justice investigations, working on a leniency proceeding, and addressing third-party subpoenas. Her broader litigation background includes complex commercial disputes and service as local counsel in Alaska matters. Before joining Ballard Spahr, she practiced with law firms in New York and Seattle, giving her experience across multiple jurisdictions and different types of sophisticated civil litigation.
Bryn R. Pallesen is admitted in Alaska, Washington, and New York and in several federal courts. Her combination of federal clerkships, complex litigation work, and antitrust experience supports a disciplined approach to disputes involving both legal and business considerations. She helps clients assess claims, manage discovery and investigations, develop litigation strategy, and navigate proceedings where careful written advocacy and familiarity with federal and state court practice are important.
