Bryant J. Keller

Bryant J. Keller is a shareholder at Kirton McConkie and chairs the firm’s Intellectual Property section. Bryant helps companies create and maintain patent and trademark portfolios connected to key products and research. His practice includes US and international patent and trademark prosecution, copyright and trademark licensing, policing matters, trade secrets, strategic intellectual property counseling, and agreements involving employee or contractor intellectual property rights.

Bryant earned a JD from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law in 2007 with High Honors and Order of the Coif recognition. He served as Executive Editor of the Utah Law Review. He earned a BS in Biology from the University of Utah in 2002. His science background supports work involving technically detailed inventions, while his legal training supports prosecution, licensing, and broader intellectual property strategy.

Bryant has prepared and prosecuted patents involving life sciences, medical devices, petroleum technologies, semiconductor systems, agricultural systems, consumer products, and other mechanical technologies. He represents national and international organizations in copyright and trademark licensing and policing matters. Before joining the firm, he founded Global Insight, LLC, worked as a researcher in the University of Utah Human Genetics Department, and interned for Justice Durrant of the Utah Supreme Court.

Bryant J. Keller is admitted in Utah and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Bryant has been recognized by Utah Legal Elite and the Legal 500 Salt Lake City Elite for intellectual property work. His combination of legal, scientific, research, and business experience helps clients protect inventions and brands, manage portfolios, structure licensing arrangements, and address intellectual property risks as products and technologies develop.
