Bryan Charles Tipp

Bryan Charles Tipp is a highly experienced attorney practicing at Tipp Coburn Lockwood, PC, in Missoula, Montana. A native of Missoula, Bryan graduated from Loyola Sacred Heart High School in 1980, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Montana in 1985. He completed his legal education at the University of Puget Sound School of Law (now Seattle University School of Law), graduating with a Juris Doctor in 1987.

Bryan’s legal career began with roles in the City Prosecutor’s Office and Pierce County Department of Assigned Counsel in Tacoma, Washington. He later established a private law practice in Seattle and subsequently returned to Missoula in 1994 to join Tipp & Buley, now Tipp Coburn Lockwood, PC.

Bryan is an experienced criminal defense attorney representing clients in both Montana state and federal courts. He focuses his practice on DUI defense, using advanced training and scientific knowledge to challenge DUI arrests and prosecutions. Bryan is certified in Standardized Field Sobriety Testing (SFST) under National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) standards and has completed the Intoxilyzer 8000 Operator’s Course, giving him deep insight into breath-testing procedures and potential errors. He has trained at the National College of DUI Defense at Harvard University and is a frequent speaker at DUI defense seminars. Bryan is a Founding and Lifetime Member of the Montana Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (MTACDL) and a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL).
