Bruce I. Shapiro is a distinguished family law attorney with over three decades of legal experience in Nevada. He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, earning them in 1984 and 1986, respectively. He later pursued his Juris Doctor degree at Whittier College School of Law, graduating magna cum laude in 1990. During law school, he earned numerous accolades, including the American Jurisprudence Awards in Contracts and Constitutional Law, and served as the Solicitations Editor for the Whittier Law Review.
Since being admitted to the Nevada Bar in 1990, Mr. Shapiro has dedicated his legal career to family law. He has played a vital role in shaping family law practice in Nevada, contributing as a writer, educator, and active participant in legal committees. He has served as a Domestic Violence Commissioner, URESA/Paternity Hearing Master, and Judicial Referee in Las Vegas Justice Court. Additionally, he has been a moderator for the State Bar of Nevada Annual Advanced Family Law CLE for over 20 years, furthering legal education in the state.
