Brien M. Penn is a skilled attorney who focuses on personal injury, real estate, and consumer bankruptcy cases. He founded Penn Law Firm LLC in 2023 to represent plaintiffs in tort cases and assist individuals and businesses with bankruptcy matters. Mr. Penn has extensive experience handling a wide range of legal issues, including medical malpractice, products liability, premises liability, and consumer finance litigation.
Mr. Penn earned his J.D. with honors in 2003 from the University of Maryland School of Law. He ranked 2nd in his class and was a member of the Order of the Coif. During law school, he served as Associate Editor of the Maryland Law Review. He received several awards, including the John L. Thomas Prize, Calvin W. Chesnut Prize, and 6 Am. Jur. Awards. He also holds a B.A. from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), where he graduated in the top 10% of his class in 2000.
Mr. Penn began his law career at Venable LLP, working in the Products Liability group. He then joined Ballard Spahr LLP and served as Claims Counsel at Old Republic National Title Insurance Co. He later became Managing Partner at Yungmann, Madden & Penn LLP, where he focused on real estate title litigation and consumer finance cases.
Brien M. Penn has handled over 250 bankruptcy cases and worked on significant matters involving real estate liens and mass torts. He has secured significant settlements for victims of medical malpractice and manufacturer negligence, showing his dedication to achieving justice for his clients.
