Brian Roche

Brian Roche is a bilingual criminal defense attorney at Ted Hess & Associates, LLC in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Brian earned a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Oberlin College in 2006 and a J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2017. He also interned with federal and municipal public defenders and volunteered with an immigrants’ rights program. These experiences introduced him to legal challenges affecting people facing prosecution and related consequences.

Brian began his legal career as a Deputy Public Defender with Denver’s Office of the Municipal Public Defender. He then served as a Deputy District Attorney in Colorado’s Fifth Judicial District. His work on both sides of criminal cases gave him experience with prosecution decisions, defense preparation, and courtroom communication. His training also included legal services directed toward civil rights, record sealing, and the concerns of immigrant communities.
