About

Brian J. Alexander is a partner at Kreindler & Kreindler LLP who concentrates his practice on aviation accident litigation, personal injury law, wrongful death, and complex product liability cases. For more than two decades, he has represented victims and families in domestic and international aviation disasters involving commercial airlines, military aircraft, helicopters, and general aviation. He has served in leadership roles in nationally significant litigation, including as Lead Counsel for the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee in the January 2025 Washington, D.C., midair collision litigation and as a member of the Plaintiffs’ Executive Committee in the Boeing 737 MAX litigation arising from Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302. He was also one of the lead attorneys in the September 11th Tort Litigation.

Brian earned his B.S. from the United States Military Academy at West Point before serving as a U.S. Army helicopter and fixed-wing pilot from 1985 to 1990. After completing the Army Aviation Accident Investigation Course, he became a licensed FAA commercial multi-engine airplane and helicopter pilot with instrument ratings. He later earned his J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School, where he received the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy, the Jessup International Moot Court Award, and the American Jurisprudence Award for Trial Advocacy.

Brian has litigated numerous high-profile aviation cases involving Boeing, Airbus, Bell, Sikorsky, Bombardier, and other aircraft manufacturers. His work includes major airline disasters such as Korean Air Flight 801, China Airlines Flight 611, Helios Airways Flight 522, Singapore Airlines Flight 006, and multiple military aircraft crashes. He has also obtained significant recoveries in product liability and wrongful death cases and successfully argued important motions in the September 11th litigation. In addition to his courtroom practice, he has taught Aviation Accident Litigation as an adjunct professor at Rutgers School of Law and has authored and co-authored publications on aviation law.

Brian J. Alexander is widely recognized for his knowledge of aviation law and aviation safety. He frequently provides legal analysis for national and international media outlets, including CNN, NBC, CBS, BBC, NPR, CNBC, and PBS. He has also lectured at legal conferences throughout the United States and internationally on aviation litigation and safety issues. His combination of military aviation experience, technical knowledge, and extensive trial practice enables him to advocate effectively for clients in some of the most challenging aviation cases.
