Brian H. Ratcliff

Brian H. Ratcliff is a partner and the managing member of PPGMR Law, PLLC’s El Dorado, Arkansas office. His civil litigation defense practice includes workers’ compensation, product liability, premises liability, wrongful death, and commercial disputes. The firm also lists appellate, environmental, natural resources, oil and gas, toxic torts, and water law among his practice areas. He represents clients in contested matters before state and federal courts.

Ratcliff earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock School of Law in 1988. He previously received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Business from Hendrix College in 1985. His educational background connects business and economic subjects with legal analysis, supporting a career in commercial litigation and defense work involving financial, operational, and liability questions.

Before joining PPGMR Law in 2014, Ratcliff practiced for 24 years with Shackleford, Phillips & Ratcliff, P.A., in El Dorado. He has tried numerous jury cases in Arkansas on a range of civil issues. He is admitted to the Arkansas Supreme Court, federal district courts in Arkansas, and the Eighth Circuit. His litigation practice has included workers’ compensation, personal injury defense, commercial matters, and other complex claims.

Brian H. Ratcliff served as president of the Arkansas Bar Association in 2014-2015 and previously held leadership roles in the Arkansas Bar Foundation and Arkansas Association of Defense Counsel.
