Bruce Munson

Bruce Munson is an Of Counsel attorney and one of the original founding partners of Barber Munson in Little Rock, Arkansas. His legal practice focuses on insurance defense and mediation, with experience in personal injury, trucking, medical malpractice, products liability, commercial litigation, and other civil disputes. He has spent decades representing defense clients and helping parties evaluate and resolve cases involving significant liability questions.

Munson received a B.S.B.A., with honors, from the University of Arkansas in 1970 and a J.D., with honors, from the same university in 1977. He participated in the Arkansas Law Review during law school. Before entering the legal profession, he served as a pilot and captain in the United States Air Force from 1970 to 1975. His background combines business education, legal scholarship, and military service.

Munson has tried nearly 500 jury cases, according to his firm, involving a wide variety of liability disputes. He has represented clients across Arkansas and in neighboring states and later expanded his work in mediation. His practice includes insurance defense, aviation, transportation litigation, commercial disputes, arson and insurance fraud litigation, and wrongful death. His years in trial practice inform his understanding of how disputes may be evaluated by juries and litigants.

Bruce Munson has received recognition in The Best Lawyers in America and Mid-South Super Lawyers, including Lawyer of the Year honors for product liability defense and insurance litigation. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Trial Advocates and has lectured on litigation topics. His approach to mediation draws on extensive courtroom experience and years of representing parties in insurance-related civil disputes.
