Brian D. Kahn

Brian D. Kahn is a seasoned civil litigation attorney and partner at Chapman Glucksman, focusing on business law, construction law, environmental law, employment law, and public entity representation. He has extensive experience handling complex litigation, arbitration, and mediation for general contractors, developers, and businesses throughout California. His practice also includes toxic tort litigation, and bad faith claims for insurance, providing clients with comprehensive legal representation.

Brian earned his B.A. from the University of Southern California and his J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law. During law school, he was involved in politics, working with the U.S. Senate, the Governor’s Office, and the White House. His early exposure to government and policy-making has informed his legal approach, particularly in regulatory compliance and public entity litigation.

Before joining Chapman Glucksman, Brian built a broad litigation background at several law firms, handling complex business disputes, construction litigation, toxic torts, and insurance-related claims. This extensive experience in both the legal and business arenas allows him to provide strategic, results-driven counsel to contractors, developers, and corporations navigating high-stakes legal challenges. A frequent and recognized speaker at industry seminars on business, construction, and insurance law, Brian also advances legal education as a former co-author of Thomson Reuters’ treatise Torts (California Civil Practice Series), contributing from 2013–2017.

Brian D. Kahn has also been featured in local and nationally syndicated television news programs and regularly writes for an audio-video/home theater magazine. In addition to his legal practice, he serves as a Judge Pro-Tem in Ventura County, is actively involved with Kiwanis International, and is President of the Board of Directors for the Leonis Adobe Association, a nonprofit educational organization.
