Brian D. Boone

Brian D. Boone is a Charlotte litigation attorney and a partner at Alston & Bird LLP who defends Fortune 500 companies and other businesses in complex commercial disputes. He represents clients before federal and state trial courts, appellate courts, and arbitration panels nationwide. His experience includes constitutional law, health care law, antitrust, RICO, ERISA, consumer fraud, class actions, and other commercial matters. He also handles significant appellate proceedings involving complex legal and constitutional questions across multiple jurisdictions and industries.

Brian earned his J.D. from Emory University. He earned his B.A. from King College. Before entering private practice, he served as a judicial clerk to Judge Karen J. Williams of the US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. He is admitted in North Carolina, Georgia, and the District of Columbia, as well as the US Supreme Court and numerous federal appellate and district courts throughout the country.

Brian has represented major companies in disputes involving drug pricing, health care, commercial contracts, arbitration claims, pipeline projects, and retirement plans. He has defended nationwide class actions and represented clients in trial and appellate proceedings. His experience includes successfully petitioning the US Supreme Court in Dart Cherokee Basin Operating Co. LLC v. Owens. He also represents organizations as amicus curiae in cases involving public nuisance law, class certification, and constitutional issues.
