About

Brian C. Steward is a San Antonio personal injury trial lawyer at Mack Injury Attorneys with more than three decades of complex civil rights law experience. He is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and belongs to the American Board of Trial Advocates. He handles products liability, medical malpractice, commercial disputes, and other civil matters, bringing extensive trial, appellate, and mediation experience to clients across demanding cases.

Brian studied History at Duke University before returning to San Antonio to attend St. Mary’s University School of Law. He was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1990 and to all four federal district courts in Texas in 1992. He gained admission to the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in 1994. His legal training strongly supports his broad work in complex civil litigation, appeals, and personal injury matters.

Brian previously served as a senior associate with two litigation practices, handling products liability, medical malpractice, and business cases through trial. He later maintained his own practice, continuing those areas while becoming a certified mediator. He has mediated cases since the Bexar County mediation system began in 1992. He also has argued matters before the Fourth Court of Appeals and contributed briefing in federal civil rights litigation involving law enforcement.

Brian C. Steward has received professional recognition for his litigation work and service to the legal community. He has been selected to Texas Super Lawyers since 2016 and received the San Antonio Bar Association Distinguished Service Award in 2021. He has served in leadership roles with trial lawyer organizations, bar committees, and grievance work. He also regularly contributes to continuing legal education programs and mentors law students through professional programs.
