Brian earned his degree in History from the University of South Carolina Upstate before attending John Marshall Law School in Atlanta. During law school, he competed on the mock trial team and clerked for several private trial attorneys. He also interned at the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted felony cases under the Third Year Practice Act, gaining early hands-on courtroom experience.
After law school, Brian joined the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office as an Assistant District Attorney and was promoted four times in less than three years. He tried dozens of felony cases involving violent crimes and offenses against women and children. During his final year, he served in the Public Integrity Unit, prosecuting cases related to excessive force and public corruption. He earned multiple honors, including three guilty verdicts returned in under thirty minutes.
