Bret Uhrich is a Washington attorney and partner at Walker Heye, PLLC, who focuses on commercial and real estate litigation in state court. In federal court, he represents clients in civil rights actions and other litigation, and he serves on the Criminal Justice Act panel for the Eastern District of Washington, representing clients exclusively on appeal. His practice also includes guardianship, conservatorship, personal injury, probate, trust administration, and estate planning lawsuits and disputes.
Bret earned his J.D., cum laude, from Gonzaga University School of Law in 2012, where he served as an editor for the Gonzaga Law Review and externed for court commissioners of the Washington State Court of Appeals, Division III. He also earned B.S. degrees in Business Economics and Management and Human Resources from the University of Idaho in 2009, supporting his litigation, business, and property law work.
Bret began working with his current practice in 2013 and became a partner in 2016. He has represented clients in administrative hearings, arbitration, and trial. His experience includes litigation and pre-litigation matters involving agricultural lien filings and enforcement, judicial foreclosures, easement disputes, and contract conflicts. Before private practice, he worked with the Washington State Attorney General’s Office Antitrust Division and the King County Prosecutor’s Office civil department.
Bret Uhrich is admitted in Washington, the US District Court for the Eastern District of Washington, the US District Court for Idaho, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. His community involvement includes past service as President of the Benton-Franklin Counties Bar Association and committee work for federal trial practice seminars.
