Brent Schafer

Brent Schafer is an attorney at law and the founder of Schafer Law Firm, P.A. in Savage, Minnesota. He focuses on criminal defense and personal injury matters, representing clients in Minnesota and extending services statewide. His practice includes defense against serious criminal charges, DUI and DWI matters, domestic assault allegations, criminal vehicular operation cases, and personal injury claims involving auto accidents, truck accidents, wrongful death, dog bites, and other injury matters.

Mr. Schafer earned a Bachelor of Arts from Winona State University in 1988 and received his Juris Doctor from Hamline University School of Law in 1992. Mr. Schafer has more than 32 years of trial experience and has worked on both prosecution and defense matters. He served as an Assistant Pine County Attorney from 1993 to 1996 and as an Assistant Scott County Attorney from 1996 to 1998. He later worked as an associate attorney at Gerald Miller & Associates before founding Schafer Law Firm in 2001, where he focused his practice on criminal defense and personal injury.

Brent Schafer has been recognized as an Attorney of the Year by Minnesota Lawyer Magazine and was a National Trial Attorney of the Year finalist through the Public Justice Foundation. He also received the Never Forgotten Award from the Innocence Project for his role in the exoneration of Koua Fong Lee.
