Brad R. Cashman

Brad R. Cashman is an experienced attorney at Monroe Moxness Berg. He represents businesses, financial institutions, and entrepreneurs in a wide array of complex transactions. His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, capital structuring, financing, divestitures, and real estate leasing and sales, with particular strength in the multi-unit franchise industry.

Brad earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from William Mitchell College of Law and holds a B.S. in Accounting, cum laude, from the University of Minnesota-Duluth. He is admitted to practice in Minnesota, North Dakota, and Montana. His legal acumen is complemented by a strong background in finance, having previously worked as a certified public accountant and analyst in real estate development.

Brad’s national practice includes high-value, multi-location transactions, such as representing a buyer acquiring over 400 restaurants and 150 fee properties and advising a seller through a tax-sensitive divestiture of its portfolio. Brad has also represented minority shareholders and companies in buyouts and numerous financial institutions in syndicated and franchise lending transactions.

Before joining MMB, Brad practiced in Bismarck, North Dakota, focusing on commercial transactions, mineral rights, and lending in the energy sector. His diverse industry exposure—from manufacturing to professional services—gives him a comprehensive understanding of clients’ business landscapes.
