About

Bonnie A. Berns is an experienced civil trial lawyer and mediator who has served clients across Florida for decades. She has built a strong reputation for handling complex legal matters with care and clarity. Her work spans both state and federal courts, helping individuals resolve difficult legal challenges.

Bonnie earned her undergraduate degree from New York University, where she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and received the Founder’s Day Award for high scholastic achievement. She later graduated from Antioch School of Law in Washington, D.C., where she focused on consumer advocacy and legislative work.

Early in her career, Bonnie opened her own practice in Naples, Italy, where she represented individuals at special court martials on the U.S. Navy base. This unique experience helped shape her strong advocacy skills and gave her valuable insight into handling sensitive and high-pressure legal matters.

After returning to the United States, Bonnie moved to Florida and opened a private practice in Palm Coast in 1985. She represented clients in personal injury, employment disputes, and family law matters. She also handled wills, estate planning, and probate, offering comprehensive legal support to individuals and families.

In 1996, Bonnie relocated her practice to the Tampa Bay area, where she worked as a civil trial lawyer for ten years. She later returned to the greater Daytona Beach area in 2006, continuing to serve multiple counties while also maintaining her connection to clients in the Tampa Bay region.

Bonnie has received several honors, including being named Outstanding Young Woman in America in 1983 and again in 1985–1986. She has also been active in many professional and community organizations, including leadership roles and committee service within the Florida Bar and advocacy groups supporting women and families.

Bonnie A. Berns is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator and a Federally Certified Mediator. She remains committed to helping clients resolve disputes effectively while providing trusted legal guidance throughout her long and respected career.
