Bob Maher

Bob Maher built his legal career on a strong foundation in science, research, and intellectual property matters. Before entering the legal field, he spent more than a decade working in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries. His experience included respiratory drugs, in-vitro diagnostics, and scientific methods tied to advanced instrumentation and technology development.

Bob earned a Biology degree from Virginia Tech in 2000 and completed graduate training in endocrinology at Virginia Tech. He later pursued legal education and earned his Juris Doctor (IP Concentration) from Saint Louis University School of LAW in 2016. That combination of scientific and legal education gives him a detailed understanding of technical intellectual property matters.

Bob became interested in intellectual property law while working with business development teams on the acquisition and protection of IP assets. That experience encouraged him to move toward a legal career focused on patents, trademarks, and related intellectual property concerns. He graduated from law school in May 2016 and was sworn in to the Missouri Bar on September 30th, 2016.

Bob is admitted to practice before the Missouri Bar and the District of Columbia Bar. He is also admitted to the U.S. District Courts, Western District of MO, the U.S. District Courts, Eastern District of MO, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. His background allows him to understand both the scientific and legal sides of intellectual property issues.

Bob Maher participates in several legal and professional organizations connected to intellectual property law and legal advocacy. His memberships include the Bar Association of Metro St. Louis, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the International Trademark Association, and the Federalist Society. Through his combined experience in science and law, Bob continues to assist clients with intellectual property matters that involve technical detail, research knowledge, and careful legal analysis.
