About
Blane Swain is the founder of Swain Law Firm in Searcy, Arkansas, where he represents clients in family law and civil litigation. His practice covers divorce, custody, support, adoption, guardianships, property division, contract disputes, probate disputes, construction defects, evictions, and personal injury claims. Criminal defense work draws upon earlier experience as a deputy prosecuting attorney. Through candid advice, he helps clients evaluate legal risks and choose practical paths toward resolution.
Blane earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Central Arkansas in 2007. He received his Juris Doctor from the William H. Bowen School of Law in 2014. Admission to the Arkansas Bar followed in 2015. His education developed skills in legal analysis, advocacy, negotiation, and understanding the personal pressures surrounding family disputes. That training supports clear guidance during matters involving children, finances, property, and changing family responsibilities.
Blane practiced for more than ten years across private practice, nonprofit leadership, prosecution, and public-interest work before opening his firm. Earlier roles included managing attorney for a nonprofit law firm and legal fellow for the American Bar Association. Extensive litigation experience covers mediation, settlement negotiations, dispositive motions, trials, and appeals. This background helps him prepare cases thoroughly while identifying opportunities for efficient resolutions outside the courtroom.
Blane Swain was selected for the Super Lawyers Rising Stars list in 2025 and serves as White County Bar Association vice president. From 2017 through 2021, he served on the Family Violence Prevention board of directors. Memberships include the American Bar Association and the Arkansas Bar Association. His community ties, courtroom experience, and direct communication support clients facing difficult disputes and important decisions.
