About
Blake Milner is senior counsel in the Birmingham office of Singleton Schreiber. He represents individuals and families in personal injury litigation, sexual assault and human trafficking claims, and whistleblower and False Claims Act matters. His civil practice draws on earlier experience prosecuting complex cases and investigating alleged misconduct. He handles disputes involving harm caused by negligence or fraud and claims brought by people who report wrongdoing by organizations or individuals.
Blake earned a B.S. from Mississippi College in 2011 and a J.D. from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 2014. At Cumberland, he competed in trial advocacy and received awards for national trial competition work. He has continued to teach practical courtroom skills as a coach of Cumberland’s national trial team and as an adjunct professor. This combination of legal education and ongoing teaching supports an approach built around trial preparation, evidence, and courtroom presentation.
Blake previously worked as an assistant United States attorney in the Northern District of Alabama, leading the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force and handling cases involving fraud, money laundering, violent crime, and drug conspiracies. He also served as a deputy district attorney in Jefferson County and has experience in white-collar defense, investigations, and whistleblower litigation. He now applies that courtroom experience to civil actions involving alleged institutional wrongdoing, negligence, sexual assault, and fraud.
Blake Milner was included in the 2027 edition of Best Lawyers in America for plaintiffs’ personal injury litigation. He is affiliated with trial and bar organizations, including the Alabama Association for Justice and the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys. His practice brings together courtroom advocacy, federal prosecution experience, and teaching. He focuses on pursuing civil claims that require detailed factual investigation, careful preparation, and clear presentation before a court.
