About
Blake A. Poole is the founder of The Law Offices of Blake A. Poole, LLC, a Gainesville, Georgia criminal defense firm. His practice covers drug offenses, DUI and BUI, property and theft crimes, sex crimes, violent crimes, murder and manslaughter, weapons and gang-related offenses, and probation revocation hearings. A former prosecutor and defense attorney, Poole brings experience from both sides of criminal cases. He represents clients facing serious charges with focused preparation, straightforward guidance, and determined courtroom advocacy throughout Northeast Georgia.
Poole earned his undergraduate degree from North Georgia College and State University before receiving his J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law in Atlanta. Before entering the legal profession, he served as an Army Infantryman from 2005 through 2008. His education and military background helped develop the discipline, analysis, and decision-making skills that later became central to his legal career. His training prepared him to evaluate evidence, build defense strategies, and advocate for clients in demanding criminal proceedings with care, precision, and confidence.
Poole has built his practice around defending people accused of crimes and protecting their rights throughout the justice process. His experience as a former prosecutor gives him insight into how criminal cases are investigated, charged, and presented by the government. He uses that perspective to examine evidence, identify weaknesses, challenge improper procedures, and prepare cases for negotiation or trial. His work spans misdemeanor and felony matters, including serious allegations that can place a client’s freedom, record, and future at substantial legal risk or lasting consequences.
Blake A. Poole is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, Gainesville-Northeastern Bar Association, and Orr Inn of Court, and participated in Leadership Hall County’s Class of 2016. He serves on the boards of the Gainesville Jaycees and Gateway Domestic Violence Center and formerly served with Family Ties. He is also a member of Concord Baptist Church. Attorney at Law Magazine named him its October 2025 Attorney of the Month, and GaBiz Magazine recognized him among Georgia’s Top Lawyers in Criminal Defense for 2025 and 2026 in statewide professional rankings.
