Bill Proctor

Bill Proctor is a founder and of counsel at Sarro Proctor Law in Hagerstown, Maryland. His work centers on workers’ compensation claims for people injured while performing their jobs. The practice serves firefighters, police officers, emergency medical personnel, health care workers, drivers, construction workers, and other employees. He also works within a firm that handles personal injury and automobile accident claims for injured Maryland residents.

Bill earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Hood College in Frederick, Maryland, and later attended the University of Baltimore for legal studies. His education followed firsthand experience in industrial employment and labor representation. Before entering legal practice, he worked at Mack Trucks in Hagerstown and became involved in union activities. Those experiences gave him an understanding of workplace disputes and the concerns of injured employees.

Bill spent ten years as a business agent and union representative for the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees while pursuing his legal education. After becoming an attorney, he returned to Hagerstown to focus on workers’ compensation law. He helped establish Myers & Proctor in 1998. The practice later became Proctor Law, P.A. and, in 2021, Sarro Proctor Law following the addition of Lloyd A. Sarro.
