D. Bruce Poole

D. Bruce Poole is a trial attorney at The Poole Law Group in Hagerstown, Maryland, with approximately forty years of experience representing clients and trying cases. His practice includes personal injury claims involving car, truck, and motorcycle accidents, traumatic brain injuries, and other serious harm. He has completed more than one hundred jury and bench trials and has argued cases before Maryland appellate courts.

Bruce earned both his B.A. and law degree from Washington and Lee University. During law school, he co-authored an award-winning brief and placed among the top fifteen oral advocates nationally in the 1984 Jessup International Moot Court Competition. He was admitted to the Maryland bar in 1985 and later gained admissions to federal courts. His training and courtroom experience support complex trial preparation and appellate advocacy.

Bruce has handled injury cases resulting in substantial verdicts, including a reported $2.2 million jury verdict in Baltimore City. His professional work also extends to commercial agreements and matters involving business, real estate, and other industries. Outside private practice, he served in the Maryland House of Delegates from 1987 to 1999 and was House Majority Leader from 1990 to 1993. He has also contributed to statewide legal and regulatory initiatives.
