Bill Godbold is an accomplished attorney focusing exclusively on debtor/creditor litigation and bankruptcy. Since entering the legal field, he has guided individuals, small businesses, and farm debtors through liquidations, reorganizations, and consumer bankruptcy, providing effective solutions tailored to each client’s financial situation.
Bill earned a B.A. in Japanese Studies from the University at Albany, followed by a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Arkansas. He later achieved his J.D. from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock: William H. Bowen School of Law, where his academic work included a published article in a respected law review.
Bill launched his legal career representing consumers at two of Arkansas’s busiest consumer bankruptcy law firms, where he developed deep, hands-on experience with Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases. This background gives him comprehensive knowledge of every stage of the consumer bankruptcy process and equips him to effectively serve clients from all walks of life. He also advises small businesses and farm and agricultural clients on complex debt relief, reorganization, and financial restructuring solutions.
Bill is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, as well as the United States Bankruptcy Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas. He is also licensed before the United States District Courts for both districts and the Arkansas Supreme Court. His admissions reflect the breadth of his professional capabilities in handling multi-jurisdictional matters.
Bill serves as Secretary-Treasurer of the Debtor-Creditor Bar of Central Arkansas, contributing to the legal community through leadership and collaboration. He remains committed to staying engaged with developments in his field to better serve his clients.
