Bill B. Berke

Bill B. Berke is the founder of Berke Law Firm, P.A., where he has dedicated his career to representing injured individuals and plaintiffs throughout Southwest Florida. Since opening his practice in 1986, Berke has provided aggressive advocacy in areas including workers’ compensation, social security disability, defective drug/device litigation, employment law, and overtime claims.

Berke earned his Bachelor of Science in Business from Indiana University in 1982, followed by his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida, College of Law in 1985. He was admitted to the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida in 1987 and the Supreme Court of the United States in 1994. His commitment to legal excellence is rooted in a solid academic foundation.

Throughout his career, Berke has mediated and tried hundreds of workers’ compensation cases and consistently refused to represent insurance companies or employers. He has served as President, Vice President, and Treasurer of the Cape Coral Bar Association and holds memberships with the Florida Justice Association and the American Association for Justice.

Berke is a board member of Florida Workers’ Advocates, the state’s leading employee and claimant lawyer group, and sits on the Florida Bar Workers’ Compensation Executive Council. His active engagement with the Lee County Bar Association further highlights his professional leadership in legal communities across the region.

Beyond the courtroom, Berke is deeply involved in civic service. He is a board member of the Cape Coral and Southwest Florida Hispanic Chambers of Commerce and the Nations Association. As co-founder and co-chairman of the SSRI Litigation Group for the American Association for Justice, he continues to shape policy and practice in pharmaceutical litigation.

Bill B. Berke’s decades-long legal career is marked by tireless advocacy and a commitment to justice for the injured. He is a frequent lecturer on workers’ compensation topics and a founder of the Lee County Chapter of V.O.I.C.E.S., supporting victims of injury through education and empowerment.
